Terms of Use for Online Courses

Effective October 15, 2026.

Wayward Leaders LLC, a South Dakota limited liability company ("Wayward Leaders," "we," "us"), operates this online school at www.trainvfds.com. These Terms of Use cover your account and your use of the online courses on this site.

  1. Our full Terms apply

These Terms of Use are an addendum to the Wayward Leaders Terms and Conditions at https://waywardleaders.com/terms-and-conditions, which are incorporated here by reference, including the Educational Purpose and Safety Disclaimer, the Limitation of Liability, and the Binding Arbitration and Class Action Waiver. If these Terms of Use and the main Terms conflict on an online course matter, these Terms of Use control. By creating an account, enrolling, or purchasing, you agree to both.

  1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. If you enroll on behalf of an employer, you confirm you have authority to bind that employer.

  1. Your account

Each account is for one named person. Do not share your login, and do not let anyone else take your quizzes or earn your certificate. Keep your password safe and tell us at [email protected] if your account is used without your permission.

  1. Course license

When you purchase a course, bundle, or subscription, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to watch and use that content for your own learning and work. You may not download, record, copy, share, resell, or post course videos, transcripts, quizzes, simulations, or materials, and you may not use them to train any AI model. Course content is licensed, not sold.

  1. Team licenses

A team license covers the number of named learners stated on the order or invoice. Each learner needs their own account. Seats may be reassigned to a new learner only when someone leaves the company, by request to [email protected]. Team licenses are sold by invoice and are also governed by the invoice terms.

  1. Subscriptions

All-access subscriptions are billed up front for the term shown at checkout and renew automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account billing page or by emailing [email protected]. Canceling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the paid term.

  1. Access period

Unless the product page says otherwise, a single course or bundle purchase gives access for as long as the course is offered and your account is in good standing. Subscription access lasts for the paid term. If we retire a course, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

  1. Safety and educational purpose

Every course is for general education only. It does not replace the manufacturer's manual, your employer's procedures, lockout/tagout, NFPA 70E, OSHA, or the codes that apply where you work, and it does not make anyone a qualified person. A drive holds dangerous voltage after power is removed. Never work on equipment you are not qualified and authorized to work on. Safe Torque Off and other drive safety functions are never a substitute for lockout. Functional safety courses explain how drive safety functions work; they do not teach you to design, validate, or certify a safety system. Certificates record course completion only. Section 7 of the main Terms applies in full.

  1. Quizzes, simulations, and certificates

Quizzes and simulations are learning tools built on simplified models. Results are not a sizing, selection, commissioning, or safety determination. A certificate shows you finished the course. It is not a license, competency certification, or qualified-person designation.

  1. Vendor neutral

Courses use real manufacturers and products as examples. Wayward Leaders is not paid by those manufacturers to name them, and naming one is not a recommendation or endorsement.

  1. Payments

Payments on this site are processed through Thinkific Payments, a Stripe-powered processor operated by Thinkific Labs Inc. We do not see or store your full card number. Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude taxes unless stated.

  1. Refunds

Online courses are Digital Products under the Wayward Leaders Refund Policy at https://waywardleaders.com/refund-policy. Sales are final once course content has been accessed, except for duplicate purchases, material technical failures, material misdescription, or where the law requires a refund. Request a refund by emailing [email protected] with the subject "Refund Request" within 7 days of purchase.

  1. Platform

This school runs on Thinkific. Thinkific's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your use of the platform. We are not responsible for platform outages outside our control.

  1. Changes

We may update these Terms of Use. The date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
